The painting is lovely, and has that quiet feeling of dusk and dawn. That peaceful, between time of day ... (I just used these colors in a small basket, though my orange accent was a bit brighter. LOL)

What a clever idea to build a new following and reward your existing followers.

Karena - this painting is amazing!
I don't often paint in colour (acrylic is my preferred medium) but I know how difficult it is to create such lightness that you have managed in the clouds above the horizon.
It is exquisite and I am crossing both fingers and toes that I will win!

I found you while reading the latest A Bloomsbury Life post about a most unusual color that is hard to name...I think this painting holds that color...this painting makes me feel balanced and calm.

When I first met my husband he had a sailboat. I had always suffered from motion sickness. He told me to keep my eye on the horizon...that always helped to bring me back around, calm me and regain my balance...this painting inspires me in that way....very beautiful.

Rebecca Corvese said...

Beautiful painting!

PK said...

I like it because I like atmosphere and calm and because it's fluid like water and sky are.

My wife will like it because it's linear, proportional and balanced.

...and it looks cool.

I have just become a very enthusiastic follower, regardless of the giveaway.

This painting could be so many places, I have seen the sea look like that in different places, but most of all it reminds me of Georgain Bay in Canada. It is so deep in parts and has these shades of cobalt blue and turquise and grey. You have captured many things in that painting.

I just returned from a trip to Paris and London and cried all weekend. I feel like my heart lives there. I feel stifled by all that is ordinary and soulless in American culture. Eventually, I imagine my body will join my heart, but for now, I look for things which help me breathe. Your painting was that for me today.
