I began this painting last night. I was with a group that loves painting together at a great art space in my area called ARTichokes! They have classes for all ages, Open Studio, all kinds of fun things for kids. The partners have a come together with a very special concept for creativity.
This art is in it's 1st phase. I have a few thoughts on where it might lead to, however the mystery and magic of Abstract art is that it may go in an entirely different direction from where it started!

Joni and Amanda, Thank you so much!
Even now that painting of yours is already stunning. It would be interesting to see how it would look like when you're finished with it.
Ann, Thank you! I enjoyed seeing your site as well. Come back often!

Karena the colors are lovely.
Nice work, Karena! I also love the name of that studio -ARTichoke.
Anne, isn't that a fun name. One of the owners,Becky Pashia, is also an artist. An artichoke was her first painting in high school and she won a 1st place award for it!
I have just started painting after waiting until I retired. I love doing abstracts and especially enjoy the blending of colors. Have recently started taking an acrylic class at a local college. Can't wait to see what you do this beginning.
