Today I am introducing a most talented woman many of us already know, Francine Gardner.

She has a fabulous shop in New York City at 228 w 58th Street called Interieurs. The design studio was established by Francine Gardner in 2001 to answer inquiries from clients interested in interpreting the Intérieurs' showroom aesthetic into their own homes. The design studio now offers complete interior design services to clients from around the globe, designing interiors that artfully blend the present with the past to create elegant, soulful living environments.
Francine's inspiration for the Interieurs Showroom and Design Studio is derived from her interest in world travel and cultures, art, architecture, literature and nature. From the pattern found on a seashell to the beauty of the towns and nature of her native South of France, Francine draws upon her experiences, observations and discoveries to inform her design process and aesthetic. A selection of these inspirations is presented in this photo gallery, providing insight into the palette from which she develops her unique vision for modern, soulful living.She also has a most interesting blog Art de Vivre. Created from his workshop in the countryside of western France, Jose Esteves lighting creations are truly a balance between art and function.
Jose Esteves is a native of Bragance, Portugal, a region that serves as the core inspiration of his work.

I really loved the Victor sofa, it has hint of a retro vibe with those buttoned back cushions, but I love the curve in the arm and the single seat cushion. Clean but glamorous. Yes, of course I know of her company but had no idea that there were so many, many insanely beautiful pieces. What a fabulous imaginary shopping expedition I just had. I was going to choose the lovely Aura headboard but then was blown away by the "Life is Fragile" lamp. Very moving.

Second, I found Francine's Shop, Interieurs to be warm and beautiful. I love how she describes her style and uses her intuition, and finds inspiration in the things around her and not from a sketch pad.
I am usually not a lover of jewel tone colors but, I found her Moroccan Lounge fascinating especially the sofa with all the gorgeous colors. I also love the Ethiopian Tombon lamp. I found her photos to be warm and inviting with a sense of stillness.

Does Francine need a sister? I would love anything from her Interiors shop - the Peace bird is amazing by Jose Esteves and that industrial Farmhouse table would be wonderful for Thanksgiving!
