It is a stormy day in Kansas City. I cannot find the words to describe the abundance of color in nature this time of year. The autumn golds, bronze, orange, rusts, reds, bring brilliance to any drive about town. The burning bushes as I call them are so bright it astounds me. I love the seasons and this is still my favorite!
Beautiful painting :-) And I'm seeing lots of other great paintings in your slideshow :-)
ReplyDeleteI love autumn colours too. We have a few burning bushes in our backyard that are a brilliant red right now :-)

Seemed as if we had an exceptionally beautiful fall this year -- perhaps because of the mild summer and lots of rain. But all that wind from yesterday blew the leaves off the trees!
ReplyDeleteI was out to dinner last night and the wind made it feel much colder, snuggling weather!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect painting for this time of year! Have a great weekend, Karen. xo
ReplyDeleteWe were just saying how magical each season is, and this Autumn has been amazing - but soon Winter will be here with that brilliant blanket of white, like a clean canvas. More magic!!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous. I love the colors and contrast.
ReplyDeleteI've never visited your part of the world, but this painting and your vivid description makes me wish I could!
ReplyDeleteThanks to this painting, I may never again see a stormy day as simply "gray." Thanks!
ReplyDeleteKarena,
ReplyDeleteI'm curious that you said you preferred 'clean' when your painting are muted or muddy in terms of colour!
Or did you just mean the 'term'. I don't understand why people have such a hard time with it. . . maybe it's because the client reacts and they don't know what to say? Not like you have this issue in your business but I'd love to know. Anyways, I noticed I'm now talking to myself so time to go. . . Have a great day!
Beautiful, 5*'s from me! Thanks for visiting my blog.
