The French Basketeer
In honor of over 1000 Faithful Followers and of course Springtime; Andrea of The French Basketeer is offering a fortunate winner ... Both a wonderful French Market Bag and Woven Sun Hat!
Established in 2008, the French Basketeer offers authentic French baskets & totes.
The classic market baskets have been a staple in France for decades, seen everywhere from Parisian markets to the beaches of the Riviera. French Basketeer now brings this timeless chic to the United States.
They also stock authentic French rolling carts, organic cotton net bags and the BioBag line of 100% biodegradable/compostable replacements for plastic bags.
French Basketeer products can be purchased through our website, at select California farmers markets and at select specialty retailers nationwide.
The new addition of the The first spring and summer hats are arriving next week, and the natural color (here below at right) is featured in the April issue of Romantic Homes Magazine. This hat is Max Chic and you can wear it two ways, with the brim folded up, or down; click to see the full image.
Andrea will stock a wider color range this summer, but for spring starting with the black and natural. The wide brim is perfect as it keeps all the sun off your face and shoulders while framing your face perfectly. Beach? Wedding? Casual weekend? Honestly, I have never seen anyone look “bad” in this hat. Even if you don’t think you look “good” in hats, you will love this one
These hats are made of raffia, in Madagascar of course, and they feature a very fine pin stripe. You will find this exact hat at the Paris Ready to Wear show.
They also squish flat for suitcase folding per Andrea!

This is my first visit here and I will definitely be coming back...I recently moved to LA and NEEEED a big floppy beach hat :) and tote. I would get the natural colored hat simply because it seems the black would get a little hot sitting on top of my thick head of wavy hair, and I wanted one that looked just like it on my honeymoon almost 3 years ago, but haven't bought one! I would also pick the St. paul bag. Here's to beginners luck ;)

OMG I love these bags and already have the French tote in orange in the first picture…love it! Oh I have my share of French baskets that I nabbed while I was in FRANCE! I LOVE THEM and they carry A TON OF STUFF!
