Stormy Sea in Winter

I love the blend of colors in this work of art. I used the palette knife technique, which at times, when using oils gives an encaustic feel to the work. Possibility of adding more texture in the horizon line....we'll see.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and letting me know of the broken link! I'm not sure how to fix it, but I've left the actual url in the comments field if you'd like to see if that works for you.

Best of luck !

Karena, it's beautiful. The colors are soothing, even though it's titled stormy :) For using a palette knife I am surprised at the overall smoothness that it looks to have. xo

This reminds me so much of the seascapes I recently saw in the Florida keys. The color and shimmering light are pitch perfect and better than any camera could capture!

It's stunning...do you work in oils exclusively Karena?

I also love the palette knife technique...but oil takes so long to cure when its so thick...love to know your thoughts.

Bravo... :)
