Pay it Forward and Share the Luv

Today I am nominating fellow blogger friends for their heart, gratitude and attitude. Those who share selflessly with all of us in the arts, interior design, and architectural world. Even those who just want to make the world a more beautiful place. These friends have shared and helped me tremendously this past year. Anne Harwell from Annechovie nominated me and I was so honored!

Tresses

I have been working on art this week for The Hair Design Co. My friend Ty just acquired this wonderful salon and has been redecorating. It continues in the same vein as my Journey pieces, however now I see strands of beautiful hair in the image! As an artist I am looking at a variety of venues for my works of art, are you?

The Journey

One week into my new position, with so much to take in, I am learning new information every day. I am inspired to keep painting, whether on my days off or in the evening to relax. Each and every year I am amazed at the gifts I receive, be it from meeting new friends, support and encouragement from family. More doors are opening that years ago I would not have dreamed possible. To all artists, whether in fine arts, interior design, music, theatre, believe in yourself . Be confident that more good will come your way if you are ready and open for it.

February 6th Friday from 5:00-8:00 pm will be the Opening Reception at the Buttonwood Art Space. Many artists will be involved in The Great American West Exhibit. I will have several works of art on display.

New Directions

I decided to do a triptych of what started to be ribbons, then lassos, then pathways. Of course it could be all of the above. When arranged in a horizontal pattens the paths converge. I liked this vertical look. It is reminding me of directions for 2009. Where are you going this year? A new career path? A new outlook on life. Resolutions you are fairly sure you will keep? Let me know...
